The Stringer Family Reunion : Arizona Family Photographer

I really enjoyed photographing this family reunion. Pat and Denis celebrated their 50th Anniversary with all their children and grandchildren. They are really a wonderful bunch. Here is the first portion of the sneak peak. There will be another sneak peak on this family as I work on their photos. There were so many photos to choose from that I really just picked at random. If your headshot is not here it does not mean that it is less dazzling than the others...

 

  

Tolmachoff Farms :: Arizona Family Photographer

After searching many patches, I have come to realize that Tolmachoff Farm is my favorite pumpkin patch in Arizona to photograph. It really has such a photographable atmosphere. Arizona has such harsh lighting even in the fall, the roof and stacks of bails of hay provide great shade while still allowing light to stream through in certain areas. I love it as a photographer and my kids love to visit their farm. I could ramble on about exactly how much fun my kids had at the farm, but the pictures express their enjoyment the best. So, enough hype, here are a few shots Jeffrey and I grabbed of our little crew out there:

Fall Meet-Up Session :: Sneak Peak :: Arizona Photography Group

Here is the Sneak Peak of the Wildfern Fall Meet-Up. This is a mom's group hosted by Wildfern Photography. I started this group to host classes, hold portrait events, and to just have fun. Each portrait meet-up costs $25 and includes 10 digital images. (Each image is duplicated with the featured texture, so you get a total of 20 images, but 10 of them are textured duplicates.) I do not offer family sessions at the meet-up, but I do photo siblings together and only children with mom. Portrait meet-ups are a great way to snag those milestone or seasonal moments that you would not normally book a session to capture. I offer two meet-up days a month and all the details can be found on the meet-up group website. The next October meet-up will be at 8a.m. on the 16th of October. I think we will be able to get closer to the corn field because it will be earlier in the day.

Baby hair. One of my favorite things to do at baby portrait sessions is to capture all the little baby details.  She was ignoring me because I could not compete with the wonder of the natural world around her. I can handle being ignored well, I could not resist this shot of her baby hair. (above image)

Morgan:: Arizona Senior Photography

I met Morgan and her mom at Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale, AZ for her senior photo session. The shoot started off great, Morgan is insanely natural in front of the camera. She is so comfortable in her own skin and laid back. I just loved how, just when I was about to pose her, I would observe that what she was doing naturally was perfect, as is. Well, it was just going all too smoothly and then the park closed early. That is right, half way into her shoot, we had to go. So we changed gears and jumped in our cars to head to Historic Glendale. By the time we got out and ready to go downtown, it was dark. This made things way more complicated. Nevertheless, Morgan was amazing and pulled it off! We ended up with a neat collection of dusk and night shots from downtown. I am having so much fun with these night shots!

Leah and Sean :: Arizona Senior Photography

Okay.....so I am extremely behind on blogging. I have sessions going all the way back to April that should be on here. There are some really neat portrait sessions and weddings that I still want to share with you, when I get a extra moment. My plan is to pick up where I am at currently with sessions and hope that I have time to catch you up, some other time.

Last weekend, I met Leah for a senior session and her brother, Sean, who is a freshman in college. Their mom booked the session in their Phoenix home. I love home sessions because it gives me a chance to be inspired by the decorating of the client. It is extra neat because I can pull color hues from their home and incorporate them into my editing.

Leah is one photogenic individual. In addition to looking splendid on camera, she is radiant and charming in person. I really enjoyed working with her, she is such an artistic person and it was a joy getting to know her. Leah, I hope your senior year is great. Sean was such a sport. Modeling for pics is not his thing...but he was such a team player and I am sure his mom will be super pleased. It says a lot about a young man, that he can go away to college and still come home to get pictures for his mom. Kristin, you are such a fun and laid-back mom with marvelous style! Did I mention I met Kristin while she was shopping for some unique vintage pieces to add to her wardrobe?
